(Originally named in Urdu as Tum Se Muhabbat tak )

Description:

FROM YOU TO LOVE is Nageen Khan’s first story which she wrote in her teenage years. She had no experience of writing a novel which is why sometimes you will find a little immaturity in some characters. But when you read this novel, you’ll feel the essence of love.

FROM YOU TO LOVE tells the story of cousins who live under the same roof. Between them is love, fighting, and bickering, but they love each other equally. But where love exists, there is also jealousy and ego getting in the way.

FROM YOU TO LOVE is also a story about university friends who find solace in each other and share everything with one another, from sorrows to happiness.

Chapter Ten

Inshal came to her room and was very happy.

‎“By the way, this chick is pretty smart… He was right after all”. Inshal went to the washroom and washed her fingers properly with water. As a result, the pink and red lipstick on her fingers came off. After that, she did Wudu and went into Sajdah before her Allah.

‎And once again, the night passed as two people searched for their own paths… but this time, the moon also became a witness to them. The same moon that brings a message of life even in the terrible darkness of the night… the same moon that makes people lose themselves in a world of dreams when they look at it… yes, the same moon that often makes people fall in love with it…

‎The moon takes all the secrets of everyone with it every morning, doesn’t it? The same happened this time.. The moon took the secrets of these two with it too, just like everyone else’s secrets, hiding them in its soft light.

‎“Where were you yesterday?” After seeing off Ayesha Begum and BaniDadi, Inshal had just entered the university with Zaid when Maria came up to her. Inshal ignored her and kept walking.

‎“Ooh, hello! I’m talking to you, miss!” Maria stood in her way.

‎“Yaar, Maria, I’m really sad about Mama leaving. You know my heart didn’t agree to let her go this time ,” Inshal said as she sat down on the bench.

‎“Okay… come on, let’s bunk the class today and sit here and gossip alot.”

‎After Maria said that, there was a strange silence between the two of them for some time, then Maria said in a lost voice,

‎“You know, Nisha, sometimes I just can’t relate myself to the people in this world.”

‎Inshal couldn’t stop laughing because Maria had said something like that.

‎“Okay, sorry… Why can’t you relate to them?”Maria’s glare finally made her stop, and then she spoke seriously.

‎“Look over there,” Maria pointed ahead, where a group of hijabi sisters were busy chatting and laughing. All those girls along with hijab regularly cover their faces with Niqab also .After a short pause, Maria continued from where she had left off.

‎“I feel really inferior when I see people like them… because they’ll have a higher place in Jannah than me.”

‎‎There was no jealousy or bitterness in Maria’s voice, just a little sadness.

‎‎“This feeling of being inferior doesn’t mean anything. Anyway, Allah hasn’t told only them to do good deeds. You should do good deeds too. You have been given the same command as them. Look, Maria, as far as I think, who are you or

I to judge anyone? And judge them to such an extent that we even decide that they will go to Jannah because of what they do.

‎“Look, it is true that the Muslim Ummah will surely enter Jannah, but after being punished for their sins. You know, the way Allah has hidden our sins from people… if this covering wasn’t there, we wouldn’t even be able to show our faces to anyone. We are human beings, Maria, not angels.

‎“And anyway, we should learn from people who are inferior to us and be thankful to Allah in every situation. Yes, but just like our phones, we should also keep improving and upgrading ourselves every moment. Anyway, come on, I’m hungry now.”

‎Saying this, Inshal moved ahead.

‎And Maria started thinking that just like everything else, every person also has both negative and positive. Sometimes Inshal does very negative acts, while at other times, she doesn’t hesitate to show her positive way of thinking either. A person should be like that…. honest, straightforward, and genuine… whose heart is just as beautiful as his appearance… who has a beautiful character along with a beautiful face.

‎But hidden… like a secret. Because you shouldn’t be so easily available that everyone can know everything about you.

‎“We don’t care about looks,

‎we fall for good character.”

**********

‎Hamza was entering the house, whistling and lost in his own tune, when he  stopped for a moment after seeing Inshal sitting on the sofa, who was wearing a dark blue long shirt with white embroidery, jeans, and a white dupatta wrapped around her face and was lost , who knew where. He sat down on the same sofa with her.

‎But the moment Hamza sat down, Inshal got up as quickly as the wind , went outside to the lawn, and started walking around. But she wasn’t unaware that for  some time, she had been under Hamza’s sharp, X-ray-like gaze, in which there was nothing but anger for her.

‎Finally, when she got fed up, and turned around and looked ,Hamza was apparently busy watching TV, but she knew very well that his trouble-making mind must be busy making some new plan to get her scolded by the family.

‎After Inshal left, Hamza was apparently watching TV, but it wouldn’t be wrong to say that his eyes and thoughts kept wandering back to Inshal. He was now thinking about how to take revenge on her for that slap when suddenly Inshal came rushing toward him like a storm.

‎“What is your problem, huh?” Inshal said, giving Hamza a look that could eat him alive. In reply, Hamza simply glanced at her once.

‎“You should save those wandering eyes of yours for those flirty girls,” Inshal said. She didn’t like being ignored by him .

‎‎“Inshal, please… I don’t want to argue with you. It would be better if you stay away from me too,” Hamza said. When he realized that Inshal didn’t like being ignored, the proud, egoistic Hamza felt quite satisfied inside.

‎“Nisha, here, it’s Chachi Jan’s phone,” Imar handed Inshal his phone before their heated argument could continue any further and sat down on the sofa opposite to Hamza while Inshal went inside.

‎“What happened, Hamza? You haven’t been yourself for the past few days.”

‎“lmar Bhai, I think it’s time to tell everyone about Dada Jan’s decision,” Hamza said without any introduction.

‎“Why? Did something happen?” Imar shifted in his seat and asked uneasily.

‎“How long am I supposed to keep this noose around my neck? The truth is, I can’t bear this disrespect from Inshal anymore.”

‎Hamza picked up car keys and walked through the inner door, but behind him, Imar was left deep in thought.
